The Story Behind the Work

Bradley (Brad) Smith is a South Lake Tahoe based photographer whose journey behind the lens began nearly two decades ago after relocating to the region from West Virginia. With a background in various creative pursuits, photography quickly captured his imagination and ignited a passion that has shaped and amplified much of his Tahoe experience.  Entirely self-taught and continuously evolving, Brad has turned a personal dream into a full-time profession—one deeply rooted in the natural beauty and active lifestyle of Lake Tahoe. 

What began as a connection to Tahoe’s landscapes has grown into a body of work that includes real estate and vacation rentals, dogs, and brand focused lifestyle, action, and product photography.  Prints are available for all landscape & nature photos.

The images I'm most proud of come from slowing down and being fully present. I work in a creative flow—responding to light, movement, mood, and energy rather than forcing a result.
